An educational cum recreational trip was organized for classes III, IV & V to Jim Corbett and Nainital from 16^th May 2023 to 18^th May 2023. Away from the scorching heat of Delhi towards the leafy paradise of Jim Corbett, children were super excited to build the best memories of their school life.

51 students and 7 teachers went on the trip. They started from school on 16th May early morning by bus and reached the lush green forests of Jim Corbett by the afternoon, where everyone had a great adventurous experience of the jungle safari.

Children enjoyed the picturesque Corbett Falls and intriguing Cave Gardens on the way to Nainital. The children were super thrilled crawling into the representative caves of different species of animals, they loved this close to nature experience. Moreover, animal sounds were added in the caves to accentuate the effect. In Nainital, children went boating in the placid Naini Lake, which is surrounded by the panoramic seven hills. They also visited Naina Devi Temple.

Visit to the Corbett Museum was very exciting for the children where they experienced the different seasons, terrains and animal sounds through AI simulation of the jungle. There they took a pledge to protect and take care of wild life, thus strengthening the SDG 15. On the way back to Delhi they relaxed for some time on the banks of river Kosi near Garjia Devi temple. Dipping their feet in the shallow waters of river Kosi, was a refreshing experience for the children.

The children learnt sharing and caring, developed bonding with their peers and teachers, became independent and also learnt to appreciate nature and wild life. They had mixed feelings while returning from the trip as they didn’t want it to end so soon. The parents were also very happy. All the teachers received thank you notes from the parents as their children were very well looked after and were excited about the trip. In fact, they are already looking forward for the next trip.
