APS CELEBRATES ANNUAL FELICITATION CEREMONY AND CULTURAL EXTRAVAGANZA

Bharat: Shantidoot Through the Ages

The 35th felicitation day and cultural fiesta, “Bharat, Shantidoot Through the Ages" was celebrated on 2nd December, 2023 .This splendid event was organised under the able guidance of our school management. The school was honored with the presence of our much revered President Shri Bikramjit Ahluwalia, Madam President Smt.Sudarshan Ahluwalia & various dignitaries who graced the occasion.

Ahlcon Public School as an ambassador of peace, avidly pursues year-round, the goals of sustainable development.This years theme highlighted SDG 3, SDG 16 andSDG 17.

The programme began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries present, along with the pious chanting of the “SwastiVachan”. The Ahlcon family was graced by the presence of the Honourable Chief Guest- MsNalini Nigam, an exceptional Classical Singer and the Guest of Honour- Mr Michael Houlgate, Deputy Director of the British Council of India

The program started with the powerful ‘Shakti Stuti’, which was followed by the Annual School Report delivered by our respected Principal,Dr Deepak Raj Singh Bisht.

The Annual Felicitation day, embodied a salute to the outstanding performances and achievements of the students. Some of the key highlights of the scholastic felicitation for the session 2022-23 were:The SUDARSHAN CUP, which was bagged by RiddhiKulshreshta for Best Conduct. The PRESIDENT’S CUP, was awarded to MaansiSinghal for exceptional overall performance. The CHAIRMAN’S CUP, was given to Saksham Gupta for his inventive approach to problem-solving. These awards were followed by the Co-scholastic awards. The House Accolades for the students’ commendable ability to collaborate ,explore, hone and pursue their talents with passion were also conferred. BEST HOUSE IN LITERARY Activities went to Dhruv House. The title for the BEST HOUSE IN CULTURAL Activities was won by Shravan House. Prahlad House won the much coveted trophy for the BEST HOUSE IN SPORTS . The CHAMPION HOUSE trophy was awarded to Shravan house.

Bharat: Shantidoot Through the Ages, celebrated our illustrious past and the pivotal role played by Bharat as a global harbinger of peace. The programme highlights were: a song “Shanti kaSandesh”, a play based on the transformation of King Ashoka from an expansionist to an ambassador of peace. Yoga, highlighting the importance of peace and tranquility was also staged. An English song “We are the World”, reiterating the theme of‘VasudhaivaKutumbakam’ spellbound the audience with a loud and clear message of ensuring all round peace for the betterment of mankind and the world as a whole.Amesmerising grand finale dance “JayathuJayathuBharatam”stole the hearts of the audience once again showcasing Bharat’s dynamic role as a major player of maintaining the fine and fragile balance of world peace.

The encouraging and congratulatory address by the Honourable Chief Guest was the highlight of the programme. The mellifulous rendition of ‘ChaapTilak’ by the chief guest MsNalini Nigam was the icing on the cake. President Shri Bikramjit Ahluwalia blessed the students and lauded their tireless efforts to make the event a huge success .He encouraged and inspired the students to embrace three guiding principles for success in life: Honesty, Hard work, and determination coupled with a steadfast belief in the Almighty. School principal Dr Deepak Raj Singh Bisht, praised the students for their outstanding performance and wished them the very best for their future endeavours.

The Head Boy delivered a heartfelt Vote of Thanks on behalf of the entire Ahlcon Family.

As the ceremony concluded, the audience, dignitaries and participants took pride in the National Song, VandeMataram as they sung along. On the whole the event proved to be a great success and that Ahlcon Public School is a true torch bearer of peace and harmony.
