A Capacity Building Programme was organized by the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, at Ahlcon Public School on the topic – "Learning Outcomes and Pedagogy". The workshop was conducted on 11 May 2024 , Saturday from 9am – 5:30 pm in the school auditorium. It was well attended by more than 60 teachers . The participating teachers were from all over Delhi and also from Ahlcon Public School.

The resource persons from CBSE , Ms. Pragya Nopani and Ms. Jyotsna Grover together brought in energy, enthusiasm and innovative skills into the session .The workshop focussed on the formulation and implementation of learning outcomes as well as Bloom's Taxonomy. They also emphasized on the various teaching methodologies which are child- centric and can enhance the learning capabilities of students in class. They reiterated that learning through various fun-games and class activities can generate as well as sustain students' interest in the subject. The students should be given shorter modules for better retention of the concepts.

This was followed by discussing various challenges faced by the students in the present scenario and the interaction on differences between learning outcomes and learning objectives via handouts provided to each participant. The session continued with discussion on old and new version of Bloom's Taxonomy by covering each domain( cognitive, affective, psychomotor) in depth accompanied by examples and activities. They talked about the different pedagogies and elaborated on each one of them with the help of examples like Inquiry based learning., Case based learning., Active collaboration method ,Critical thinking and problem solving, Research based method etc. In the end, the session concluded with an activity wherein the participants had to plan a strategy using any one 21st century skill. It was a complete package of effective learning wherein mutual exchange of knowledge took place in a healthy manner.

The day long workshop was well hosted by the school. A tea break and a sumptuous lunch was arranged for all the participants.

The school Principal, Dr. Deepak Raj Singh Bisht felicitated the resource persons with planters and thanked them wholeheartedly for conducting such an enriching and engaging workshop.
