During SDG Week, our foundational stage kids engaged in a series of activities designed to instil values aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals. On Day 1, focusing on SDG 3, they learned proper hand washing techniques and discussed healthy eating and hygiene. Day 2, dedicated to SDG 2, involved making and sharing lemonade to emphasize food and water conservation. On Day 3, with a focus on SDG 13, they planted seeds and discussed energy conservation and reducing plastic use. Day 4’s activities for SDG 15 included setting up bird feeders and discussing animal care. Finally, on Day 5, focusing on SDG 14, children participated in a scrapbook activity and learned about waste management and the importance of reducing plastic use. These activities provided hands-on learning and fostered a sense of responsibility towards global sustainability.
