Educators play a vital role in shaping the lives of students and their well-being directly impacts their ability to effectively teach and support their students. To facilitate an environment where educators can learn about the importance of maintaining a healthy work-life balance and nurture a positive classroom environment, the CBSE in their series of workshop on Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for educators initiated a session on ‘Stress Management’.

To initiate the session, the Resource Person, Mr. Pankaj Munjal began by evaluating the participants’ familiarity with the topic. He used a Google Form to collect insights into their awareness and comprehension of the subject matter before delving into the main content of the session.

He then proceeded to elaborate on the causes and origins of stress, throwing ight on how it impacts our mental well-being. The resource person skillfully encouraged active participation from the educators by fostering discussions and encouraging them to introspect about their own experiences. He underlined the importance of self-awareness in managing stress, highlighting how recognizing and understanding one’s emotions and feelings are pivotal in effectively addressing and coping with stressors.

The resource person also integrated some case studies based on students into the session. This approach aimed to encourage educators to delve into the scenarios and analyze them critically, thereby identifying the underlying causes of the problems faced by students. He aimed to demonstrate the importance of educators not only understanding their own stressors but also recognizing the potential impact of the stress on these young minds.

The entire workshop was conducted in an interactive manner and videos pertaining to the topic were shown to reiterate the solutions of Stress Management. The strategic blend of informative explanation, open discussions, and self-reflection not only served as a dynamic learning experience for the educators but it also provided them with practical tools to navigate and mitigate the impact of stress in their lives.
