About the Activity:
The spirit of tradition and camaraderie filled the air as our school hosted the much-anticipated Inter-House Duet Folk Dance Competition on April 29, 2025. Students from all four houses — Eklavya, Dhruv, Prahlad, and Shravan — showcased their talent, energy, and cultural pride through mesmerizing duet performances, representing the rich tapestry of India's folk heritage.

The competition began with a vibrant introduction that emphasized the importance of preserving and celebrating our cultural roots. Each pair of participants brought forward the essence of different folk dance forms such as, Kalbelia, Bottle dance, Lavani, and Bangla dance enthralling the audience with their graceful moves and colourful costumes.

The performances were judged on parameters such as rhythm, originality, costume, choreography, and overall presentation. Esteemed Judges — Mr Ashish Bora, Ms Shilpa Mishra, Ms Shrishti A.Kapoor - praised the participants for their dedication and spirit.

The event concluded with a speech by principal Dr Deepak Raj Singh Bisht, acknowledging the efforts of participants, housemasters, and the organizing committee for making the event a resounding success.

The Inter-House Duet Folk Dance Competition not only showcased the students' artistic talents but also fostered teamwork, discipline, and a deep respect for India’s cultural diversity.

First Position: Eklavya House - Mihika Rawat & Deetya Negi (Kalbelia)
Second Position: Dhruv House - Bhavya Singh & Snaya Bisht (Bangla dance )
Third Position: Shravan House - Prisha Dixit & Yashvi Kaushik (bottle dance)
