Ahlcon Public School celebrated World Mental Health Day to raise awareness around mental health, reduce the stigma, and promote actions that support well-being. A special assembly, was conducted to reflect on mental health, its importance, and the role each individual plays in supporting it. Psychology students participated in creative initiatives from poster-making to short presentations on ways to improve mental health. These included practical steps such as talking openly, maintaining healthy routines, and seeking help and peer support. A pledge was taken by students and staff committed personally and collectively to being proactive about mental well-being, and to encouraging help-seeking when needed. A new initiative of awareness was done by School Counsellor Ms.K. Rakshitha Ganesh and Psychology department to Staff members where each member were given a wristband bearing the message “Mental Health Matters”, symbolising the school’s shared commitment to mental wellness for everyone in the community.
