Visit To National Science Museum

Our school organised an educational tour to the National Science Museum on 21 October 2019. The motive of the visit was to make the students aware of the Super Bugs which are tiny organisms capable of causing diseases. They have now become resistant to our most powerful weapon ‘antibiotics’. There are many reasons due to which bacteria change into super bugs, the most important one being not completing the course of antibiotics. In case of an incomplete course of antibiotic, the bacteria are not eliminated and learn to fight the medicine. These micro organisms are released in the environment through body wastes and sweat. In this way they grow and multiply and kill almost 70,000 people every year and this number is expected to increase up to 10 million by 2050. The visit helped the students learn about the various ways to prevent the rise of super bugs which was definitely an informative and enriching experience.

Visit To Kidzania by Primary Department

  • Classes 1 & 2 on 21/8/19
  • Classes 5 on 24/8/19
  • Classes 3 & 4 On 29/8/19

The Ahlcon Public School, Mayur Vihar, phase –I organised day trip to Kidzania, Noida on above mentioned dates for classes I to V. It is built like a city where students can independently explore and choose to role-play from exciting careers. They can also experience local establishments like the Archaeological Site Exploration, Court Session, Natural Disaster Training, Indoor Stadium & an Underground Utility Maintenance. Kidzania gave our students an environment that allowed them to do what naturally comes to them i.e. role-playing by mimicking real-world adult roles. This indoor theme park with paved roads, buildings, vehicles, buildings, and a fully functional economy gave kids a slice of real world.

The activities in Doughnut Shop, Dance Academy, Culinary School, Climbing Building, Emergency Room, and Driving School etc. were realistic and detailed in a variety of contexts.

The trip turned out to be both fun and productive for the students and the teachers. Most popular activity was being a fire-fighter. After gearing up and waiting at the fire station, the alarm rang and they went in the truck. At the hotel, fire hoses were set up for them to put out the “fire.” Students role played as nurses in the hospital and were taking care of the new-born babies. Older students role-played as an EMT or even a surgeon. Students learned how cities function, how professions work together and above all how to wisely save and use money (the value of money). Kidzania was an awesome place for students to get engaged and learn by experiencing.
