Ahlcon Public School, one of the leading educational institutions in Delhi-NCR, successfully hosted its Annual Sports Meet 2023 with the theme of - "Swastha Shareer Swastha Mann" on 23rd December 2023. The event was graced by several dignitaries, including Shri Vijay Singh, IPS, Joint Commissioner of Delhi Police, who was the chief guest of the event. The event began with the arrival of an array of dignitaries, including President (Ahlcon Schools) Shri Bikramjit Ahluwalia & Madam President Smt. Sudarshan Ahluwalia, Director Ahlcon Schools, Dr Ashok Kumar Pandey, Shri Sanjay Yadav, Principal Ahlcon International, Mr Sandeep Sehgal, journalist, Mrs Alka Gupta, journalist, Shri S K Sachdeva, SMC Member, Dr Meera, PTA member representatives from 1DGBN. The event's highlight was the Guard of Honour to Chief Guest, a march past by Class IX and NCC cadets, followed by the welcome address of the principal, Dr Deepak Raj Singh Bisht. The Sports Oath was taken by the sports captain (boy), Anant Jain, and the Sports Meet was declared open by the chief guest. The torch-lighting ceremony was a sight to behold, and it marked the beginning of the athletic events. The athletic events were categorised based on the classes and groups, and the students actively participated in all the events. The event also featured various other performances such as KHELO INDIA DUNIA KO JEETO, BALL DRILL, TAEKWONDO, UMBRELLA DRILL, MASS PT - HEALTH IS WEALTH, and YOG SRIJAN. The Finale dance culminated the event gracefully. These performances were all well received and added to the excitement of the day. The event concluded with an address by the Director of Ahlcon Schools Dr. Ashok Pandey, followed by the prize distribution ceremony for the best performance. The best athletes, march past, and house in athletic events were awarded prizes. The Chief Guest, Shri Vijay Singh, declared the Sports Meet closed, and the Retreat Ceremony was carried out. The event ended with the presentation of a memento to the Chief Guest and other dignitaries followed by the singing of the School Song. In conclusion, the Annual Sports Meet 2023 at Ahlcon Public School was a grand success, bringing together students, teachers, and dignitaries to celebrate sportsmanship and teamwork.
