"A healthy mind is a sanctuary of strength and serenity."

The CBSE conducted a capacity building program for teachers on mental health and wellness, aiming to equip the participants with stress management strategies, resilience-building techniques, and overall well-being promotion. The program provided a platform to 60 participants to engage in meaningful discussions ,share their concerns and learn from each other.

The resource persons delivered insightful sessions, sharing valuable expertise and experiences. Different kinds of mental health disorders and their symptoms were discussed along with the factors leading to mental health issues.

An extensive overview of common mental health conditions, such as anxiety, depression, and stress-related disorders, was presented, incorporating real-life examples to enhance relatability. Strategies for recognizing signs and symptoms, both in oneself and others, were shared, fostering a deeper understanding of mental health challenges.

The event actively encouraged participants to seek professional help when facing mental health issues, providing information on local mental health resources, therapists, support groups, and crisis intervention services. The program aimed to destigmatize mental health by sharing personal stories of individuals overcoming challenges, promoting open conversations, and emphasizing the importance of treating mental health conditions as medical issues. Small groups of 6 discussed the assigned topics and enacted situations, fostering experiential learning. Handouts and questionnaires were provided to all the participants to engage them fully. The program concluded with an activity where participants had to creatively present a given situation or case along with its solution.

The school hosted a high tea and sumptuous lunch for all the participants. The School Principal, Dr. Deepak Raj Singh Bisht felicitated the resource persons with planters, expressing gratitude for their enriching and engaging workshop.

The capacity building program was a resounding success, providing a platform for mutual knowledge exchange and effective learning in a healthy manner.
